Copy a version using Backup to Config Data

Use the backup to config data operation to specify a version of a Backup Data binder and add it as the most recent version of the Configuration Data binder.
Prerequisites
  • To use the backup to config data operation, you must configure the Backup Data and Configuration Data for the asset in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre desktop client.
To copy a version from Backup Data to Configuration Data
  1. On
    Assets
    , expand the asset tree, and then select a Generic FTP Device, Custom Device, or PowerFlex Drive.
  2. Select the
    Backup to Config Data
     button.
  3. In the
    Backup to Config Data
     dialog, select a version of the Backup Data binder, and then select
    Next
    .
    TIP:
    To copy the latest version of the Backup Data binder, select the
    Use the latest version
     checkbox.
  4. Enter an optional comment, and then select
    Finish
    .
