Backup to Config Data dialog

  1. On
    Assets
    , expand the asset tree, and then select a Generic FTP Device, Custom Device, or Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive.
  2. Select the
    Backup to Config Data
     button.
Use the backup to config data operation to copy a backup version to the Configuration Data when the Backup Data is different from the Configuration Data. For example, you check out a program stored in the Configuration Data to make edits and then check it in. You also leave a local copy. Then you make changes to the local copy, go online, and download the changed program to the controller. Now the new changes are not checked in to the Configuration Data, which will make the Backup Data different from the version stored in the Configuration Data. It applies to the following asset types:
  • Generic FTP Device
  • Custom Device
  • Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Drive
