Windows Firewall
Activate and configure the
Microsoft®
Windows firewall on a workstation to allow connections through the ports used to communicate with the AADvance or Trusted®
controllers.Configure other ports for the following scenarios:
- Allow the workstations to access the Windows Updates, time synchronization, and anti-virus updates.
- The Windows workstation may run additional software (such as HMI or data logging), therefore requiring the ports to pass through the firewall.TIP: Refer to the manufacturer’s manual for instructions about firewall settings.
Configure the firewall to allow these AADvance or
