Configure Internet Explorer on Windows Server
By default, the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration (IE ESC) is enabled on the Windows Server. This may result in some issues (for example, caused by blocked JavaScript in Internet Explorer) when trying to access certain sites. For this reason, it is recommended to disable IE ESC.
To disable the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration
- Go toStart>All Programs>Administrative Tools>Server Manager.The Server Manager appears.
- In theSecurity Informationsection, clickConfigure IE ESC.TheInternet Explorer Enhanced Security Configurationdialog box appears.
- Select theOffoption for the Administrators or for the Users group.TIP:For safety reasons, it is recommended to disable the Enhanced Security Configuration for Administrators only.
- ClickOK.TIP:If you do not want to turn off the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration settings globally, you can enable theScriptsetting in the developer tools. For more information, see Verify the browser configuration using the F12 developer tools.
