Create and show a trend snapshot

You can capture and save a snapshot of graphed data and then layer that saved data over current data in a trend. This feature allows you to overlay and compare historical data with current data or any multiple sets of data.
TIP:
Settings on the
Runtime
tab enable or disable an operator's ability to create snapshots and show or hide overlays at runtime.
To create and show a snapshot:
  1. Using the Trend property tabs, set up the pens, start date and time, time span, and other trending options that you want to include in the snapshot.
  2. Run the trend.
  3. To capture the chart data, right-click the trend chart and then select
    Create Snapshot
    . Name the snapshot and then click
    OK
    .
  4. To add the snapshot to the trend, open the chart properties and then click the
    Overlays
    tab.
  5. Click
    Add
    . Click the name of the snapshot you want to add and then click
    OK
    .
  6. To show and hide the snapshot on the trend chart, run the trend. Right-click the trend and select
    Overlays > Show/Hide >
    snapshot name
    .
