Set up data log file management

Use the
File Management
 tab to specify when new files are created and old files are deleted.
File Set
format files are created in sets of three. Data log files are named automatically by the system.
To set up data log file management:
  1. In the
    Data Log Model
     editor, click the
    File Management
     tab.
  2. If you are using the
    File Set
     storage format:
    • In the
      Start New Files
       area, specify how to start new files when a particular event occurs.
    • In the
      Delete Oldest Files
       area, specify how you want to delete old data log files if needed.
  3. If you are using the
    ODBC database
     storage format, specify how you want to purge the oldest records in the ODBC database.
