Remove one or more components

When a component is removed, it no longer shows up in the
Explorer
 window, but it remains on the computer. If the component is referenced in an application, for example if it is specified as a startup macro, it will still run when it is called by the application.
The
Remove
option is available on the context menu for components that are created within an HMI server project, such as graphic displays, event files, and macro files. It is not available for anything in the Explorer that is not in an HMI project.
TIP:
To remove a component from the HMI project and from the computer, use the
Delete
 option.
To remove one or more components from an HMI server project:
  1. In
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    , in the
    Explorer
     window, right-click the editor's icon and select
    Remove
    .
  2. In the component selection dialog box, select the components to be removed and click
    OK
    .
  3. In the confirmation dialog box, click
    Yes
    .
