Create a component

Some
FactoryTalk View
 editors, such as the Graphics, Recipe, and Derived Tags editors, can have multiple components, or files, associated with them. When you create a component, the names do not support extended ASCII characters or Unicode characters.
To create a component:
In
FactoryTalk View Studio
, in the
Explorer
 window, do one of the following:
  • Right-click the editor’s icon or name and select
    New
    .
  • Drag the editor’s icon into the
    FactoryTalk View Studio
     workspace.
  • Double-click the editor’s icon if it is the first component for an editor.
