HMI Server Properties - Redundancy tab
The following table shows settings in this tab.
Settings | Description |
---|---|
Provide redundancy using a secondary server | Select this check box to specify that you are providing redundancy for the HMI server. This makes the remaining data entry boxes in the tab available. |
Computer hosting the server | Type the name of the computer that the secondary server will run on, or click the browse button to navigate to and select a computer. |
Startup type | This is set in the General tab of the HMI Server Properties dialog box and is displayed here for information only. To be able to set up redundancy, the startup type must be set to Load and run startup components when operating system initializes . |
Number of displays | Shows the number of displays contained in the HMI server project. |
Licensed maximum | Shows the number of graphic displays allowed by the FactoryTalk View SE Server license. This is for information only. |
Switchover options | Select one of the following options:

Replicate Active to Standby | Click this button to copy HMI project information from the currently Active HMI server to the Standby HMI server. This option is only available if Provide redundancy using a secondary server is selected, and one HMI server is active and the other is standby.To automatically save the project online edits to both active and standby servers, in FactoryTalk View Studio , from the menu, select Tools > Options . On the Settings tab, make sure the Save edits to both active and standby HMI servers option is selected. To keep the HMI memory tag values the same on both active and standby servers, on the same tab, select the Auto synchronize HMI memory tag values to both active and standby HMI servers option. |
