Resize or reshape an object

When you select an object, handles appear around it. To reshape an object using these handles, point the mouse cursor at a handle, hold down the left mouse button and then drag the handle until the object is the correct shape.
All objects can be resized. You can use just the mouse, or use the
Shift
key with the arrow keys, which let you resize objects in small increments.
You can also reshape some objects using its editing tool. To do this, right-click the object and select
Edit
from its context menu. The editing tool varies depending on the object that has been selected.
TIP:
For perfect circles and squares, press
Ctrl
as you drag a corner handle with the mouse.
To maintain the aspect ratio between width and height, press
Shift
as you drag a corner handle with the mouse.
To resize an object in small increments:
  1. Select the object and place the cursor pointer on one of the handles so that it turns into a double arrow.
  2. Press and hold
    Shift
    and press an arrow key until the object is the correct size.
To reshape an arc or wedge:
  1. Right-click the arc or wedge object and then click
    Edit
    . This places a handle on both ends of the arc or wedge.
  2. Point the cursor at a handle and when it changes to a cross, click and hold the left mouse button to grab the handle.
  3. Drag one way or the other until the arc or wedge is the correct shape.
  4. Move the cursor off the object and click to end editing.
    TIP:
    The overall shape is the same size but the proportion that is an arc or wedge is changed.
To reshape a polygon or polyline:
  1. Right-click the polygon or polyline object and the click
    Edit
    . This places handles on the angles of the polygon or polyline.
  2. Point the cursor at a handle and when it changes to a cross, click and hold the left mouse button to grab the handle. Drag it to extend the angle.
  3. To create an angle along any line in the polygon or polyline, position the cursor on the line where the angle is to be. When it changes to a square, click and hold the left mouse button to grab the handle. Drag it to create the angle.
  4. To delete a line segment, position the pointer at the tip of the angle, then press
    Delete
    .
  5. Move the cursor off the object and click to end editing.
