Ramp Button Properties - Connections tab
The following table shows the options in the
Connections
tab of Ramp Button Properties.
Options | Description |
---|---|
Value | Assign a tag to the Value connection. When the value of the tag changes, the ramp button's action occurs. |
Limit | Use this connection with the Use variable upper/lower limit check box (on the General tab), to create a variable upper or lower ramp limit. Assign a tag, tag parameter (for example #1), expression, or constant, to the Limit connection that will provide the variable value for the limit. In the General tab, the Use variable upper/lower limit check box must be selected. |
Ramp | Use this connection with the Use variable ramp check box (on the General tab), to create a variable ramp value. Assign a tag, tag parameter (for example #1), expression, or constant, to the Ramp connection that will provide the variable value for the ramp. In the General tab, the Use variable ramp check box must be selected. |
The following table shows other options in the

tab.Options | Description |
---|---|
Name | This column shows the name of the connection. |
Value update direction | This column shows an arrow to indicate which way data can flow between the connection and the data source. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Tag/Expression | Type the tag name or expression associated with the connection. If a tag or expression has already been selected, it is displayed here. |
Tag button (...) | Click this button to open the Tag Browser and choose a tag instead of typing the tag name in the Tag/Expression column. |
Exprn button (...) | Click this button to open the Expression editor and create an expression instead of typing the expression in the Tag/Expression column. |
