Assign an expression to a property

You can assign an expression to some properties for certain graphic objects. At runtime, changes in the value of the expression will be reflected in changes to the property. For example, if the property is used in the animation for an object, changes to the value of the expression will be reflected in the object's appearance or behavior at runtime.
To assign an expression to a property:
  1. In the
    Connections
    tab, in the
    Exprn
    column, click the browse button
    (...)
    to open the
    Expression Editor
    .
  2. In the
    Expression Editor
dialog box, create an expression that will provide a value for the property.
  3. Click
    OK
    .
  4. The tag assignment is saved when you click another cell in the grid, click the
    Properties
    tab, or close the
    Property Panel
    .
    TIP:
Only one tag can be assigned per property.
    If the
    Exprn
column for a property does not contain an ellipsis (...), it means the property cannot be connected to an item of that type.
