Restoring the HMI server failed
Restoring the HMI server might have failed for the following reasons:
- If you want to overwrite an existing HMI server with one contained in a backup file, you must stop the target HMI server from running before you can restore to it. While the target HMI server is running, the HMI tag database files are locked and cannot be overwritten.
- If the wrong HMI server was restored, check that you specified the full path to the correct HMI server project's *.sed file in the Source HMI server path box.
- When running the HMI Server Backup and Restore utility from the command line, make sure you have already created the project folder into which the *.sed file will be restored. The HMI project was restored directly into the HMI Projects folder, you did not specify the full path to the *.sed file in the DestinationHMIServer parameter.
- If the HMI server you are overwriting was running when the restore took place, this might be either because it is set to start when the computer starts up, or because a remote client, or the active HMI server in a redundant pair, may be connecting to it while the restore is taking place. Ensure that no clients attempt to connect to the HMI server while you are restoring its project files.
