Create a certificate signing request (CSR)

Starting from version 6.20.00,
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
 provides the ability to enable a user to create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to obtain a new certificate from an external signing authority as the Outgoing Certificate.
To create a certificate signing request
  1. Under
    Certificate Management
    , select
    Outgoing Certificate
    , and then click
    Create CSR
    .
  2. In the
    Create Certificate Signing Request
     dialog box, enter all the information, and then click
    OK
    .

  3. Select a location to save the csr file, and then click
    OK
    .
  4. Send the CSR file to an external signing authority for signing, and then import the signed certificate as the Outgoing certificate.
IMPORTANT:
To ensure automatic discovery of OPC UA servers functions properly, after the CSR file is signed and imported, import the root certificate to C:\ProgramData\OPC Foundation\UA\pki\trusted\cert.
