Cache OPC UA Server namespace

Cache UA Server namespace is available for UA Tag List and Custom UA Namespace. Creating a cache can reduce the time to load a large namespace to improve the initial system startup performance of UA Tag List and Custom UA Namespace. If there is a cache, the namespace will be loaded from the cache after restarting the UA server. Otherwise, the namespace will be loaded from the UA Tag List and Custom UA Namespace configuration, and then a cache will be created. Refreshing the cache will cause all OPC UA clients to be disconnected while the namespace is regenerated.
TIP: Based on the number of tags defined in the namespace, this could take an extended period of time to complete.
The cache will be deleted automatically, when:
  • Changing the UA Tag List and Custom UA Namespace configuration
  • Refreshing the namespace in the UA Tag List
  • Clearing the Cache UA Server namespace checkbox
In the UA Tag List, Tags in the folder are dynamic in the namespace. Adding, deleting, or editing tags in the controller has no influence on the cache, and the client can get the updated tags. Usually, the UA server will manage the cache for most scenarios, and you do not need to change the configuration. When there are unexpected changes and requests, select Refresh to delete the cache.
