or the operator can select the appropriate containers to supply materials to the recipe.

In this chapter, you run a material-based recipe using the

FactoryTalk Batch

Phase Simulator. The Phase Simulator supplies the ACTUAL_AMOUNT and FEED_COMPLETE parameters to enable the batch to run. This data normally is supplied by the phase logic in the process-connected device (PCD).
