My ODBC destination does not support a user name but one is required

Possible cause and solution:
  • Some ODBC databases do not allow a user name when accessing the database, but do require a password. When setting up the ODBC destination in the Diagnostics Setup editor, a user name is required, otherwise the error message, "Database UserID is required. Please enter UserID." appears and the ODBC destination cannot be saved.
    To resolve this problem, enter a space in the
    User name
     box.
