Audit information is not appearing in log files

Possible cause and solution:
  • Audit logging is not enabled.
To correct this, enable the Audit policy
Audit configuration and control system changes
    .
  • Object access success or failure audit policies have not been enabled.
To correct this, enable either or both of these policies.
  • FactoryTalk Diagnostics
has not been set up to log Audit messages.
    In
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    select
Tools > FactoryTalk Diagnostics > Setup
    to open
    Diagnostics Configuration
    . In the
    Diagnostics Setup
    tree, select
    Message Routing
and verify that logging destinations are configured.
  • Security services might have been overridden. In this case, the
    Windows
user account that is currently logged on is used for all audit messages.
To log audit messages for individual users using the same computer, either create separate
    Windows
user accounts for each user, and then have the users log on to
    Windows
using those accounts, or enable security services, and create separate
    FactoryTalk Security
    user accounts for each user.
