I don't know the password to a directory

If you are trying to configure a directory but you are being prompted for a password you don't have, this might be because you are upgrading from

FactoryTalk Automation Platform

version 2.00.

In version 2.00, you had to create passwords for

FactoryTalk

administrator accounts in both the network directory and the local directory.

To upgrade existing directories to

FactoryTalk Services Platform

version 2.10 or later, you must supply the original user name and password for the

FactoryTalk

administrator accounts.

For the

FactoryTalk

local directory, the original default user name was Administrator, and the password field was left blank.

For the

FactoryTalk

network directory, the original default user name was Administrator, but you were prompted to provide a password.

If you cannot remember the password to an existing directory, you cannot access that directory. Contact
