Connector Settings

    , right-click an OPC UA Connector, and then select
    Properties

Use
Connector Settings
to set the name and host name of a
FactoryTalk Linx
OPC
UA Connector.
Setting
Description
Name
Sets a unique name for the
FactoryTalk Linx
OPC
UA Connector.
The name displays in the
FactoryTalk
application tree and is included in the full tag path for all tags provided by the OPC UA Connector. The name cannot be changed once created.
Computer hosting the
FactoryTalk Linx
OPC
UA Connector
Sets the host name of the computer hosting the
FactoryTalk Linx
OPC
UA Connector. Only one OPC UA Connector can run per host computer.
Use Localhost to run the OPC UA Connector on the same computer as the
FactoryTalk Linx
OPC
UA Connector user interface or browse and select another host name or IP address in the
FactoryTalk Directory
to run the OPC UA Connector on a remote computer.
Provide redundancy using a secondary server
Enables or disables the Redundancy mode by selecting or clearing the checkbox. This checkbox is available only when the FactoryTalk Directory is set to Network.
When this checkbox is selected, the
Redundancy
tab appears. Manage redundancy configurations on the
Redundancy
tab, and then restart the OPC UA Connector.
Keep configuration when uninstall
Determines to keep or discard your configuration when uninstalling FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector. This checkbox is selected by default.
