Serial-DH485 Properties
dialog contains this information:Setting | Description |

Name | Used to view or adjust the default name of the serial driver. This name must be unique across the entire topology, and is limited to 255 characters. If you change this name, the new name shows in the communications tree. |
Station Number | Used to enter the Station Address for this driver. All packets sent to this station address will be forwarded to FactoryTalk Linx . Available station numbers are 0 to 31 octal (default is 0). |
Max. Station Number | Used to enter the maximum station number that this device should poll for on the network. Must be equal to or greater than the value of the Station Number. Available station numbers are 0 to 31 (default is 31). |
COM Port | Used to select the port number on the CE device. Available port numbers are 1 and 2. The default is 1. The driver transmits data to a CE device, such as PanelView Plus . |
Baud | Used to configure the baud rate for the driver that transmits data to your device. Available baud rates are 1200, 2400, 9600, and 19200 (default is 19200). |
TIP:
The Serial-DH485 driver, including 2711P-RN3 and 2711-PN22, is not supported on the desktop platform. To utilize the driver, you can build an application that uses the Serial-DH485 on a terminal.
