RIO Properties
dialog.
Setting
Description
Name
Used to view or adjust the name of the 1784-PKTX or 27110-RN6 on a Remote I/O driver. This name must be unique across the entire topology and is limited to 255 characters. If you change this name, the new name shows in the communications tree.
Jumper ID
Used to display the card number, which is set using the jumpers on the card. This ID must match the value set with the jumpers on the card. Available jumper IDs are 0, 1, 2, and 3 (default is 0).
Baud
Used to configure the baud rate for the driver that transmits data to your device. Available baud rates are 57600, 115200, 9600, and 230400. The default is 57600.
When configuring the PKTX RIO Adapter driver for the first time, the following error message shows after adding the driver: PKTX RIO Adapter Driver Startup failed
.
This error shows because there is no rack information for the driver to use. If you are configuring the card for the first time, then you can ignore this message. Note, however, that you will not be able to run in test mode during this initial configuration session. You must first exit and restart
FactoryTalk Linx
and
FactoryTalk View Studio
.
FactoryTalk Linx
supports running only one channel on a 1784-PKTXD. It is recommended that you have either the
DH+
cable or the DH485 cable connected to the card.
