Define system-wide alarm settings

In the

FactoryTalk

Explorer window, expand

System > Policies > System Policies >

FactoryTalk Alarms and Events

.

Double-click

System Settings

to open the

System Settings Properties

dialog box.

In the

Handle special events

area, select the check boxes to choose which events to send to the event log.

In the

Buffer events before sending to clients

area specify the limits the alarm server will use to determine when to send buffered event data to

FactoryTalk Alarms and Events

client objects.

In the

Assign alarm priorities

area specify integers for the lower limit in each priority range. You cannot leave gaps or have overlaps in the values specified.

When finished with making changes, click

OK

to close the dialog box and apply the settings.
