Suppress events

Suppress an event that is not needed temporarily.
The ability to suppress or unsuppress an event is controlled by
FactoryTalk Security
.
To suppress events in an application or area, you need the following security permissions for the application or area:
  • Common > Read
     (required to list the event in the application or area)
  • Common > List Children
     (required to list the event in the application or area)
  • Automatic Diagnostics > Suppress
To suppress an event
  1. In the Automatic Diagnostic Event Summary event list, do one of the following:
    • Select the events you want to suppress, and then click the
      Suppress selected event
      Diag_toolbar_suppress toolbar button.
    • Select the events you want to suppress, right-click the selection, and then click
      Suppress
      .
  2. In the
    Comment
     box, type a comment.
  3. Click
    OK
    .
