Unshelve all alarms

If alarms that were previously shelved need to be monitored again, you can unshelve all shelved alarms in the Alarm and Event Summary or unshelve specific alarms in the Alarm Status Explorer.
The ability to shelve or unshelve an alarm is controlled by
FactoryTalk Security
.
To shelve or unshelve alarms in an application or area, you need the following security permissions for the application or area:
  • Common > Read
  • Common > List Children
  • Alarming > Shelve
To unshelve alarms
  1. In the event list, do one of the following:
    • On the toolbar, click the
      Unshelve all alarms
      Toolbar_UnshelveAll button.
    • Right-click the event list and select
      Unshelve all
      .
  2. The
    Unshelve All Alarms
    dialog box is displayed. The dialog box is not displayed if there are no alarms shelved in the subscription list.
  3. (optional) In the
    Comment
    text box, enter a comment for the unshelving operation to store with the alarm and log to the UserComment field in the alarm database
  4. When complete, click
    Unshelve all.
The
Alarm Status Explorer
can also be used to unshelve alarms.
To unshelve alarms using the Alarm Status Explorer
  1. On the toolbar, click the
    Display the Alarm Status Explorer
    Toolbar_ShowAlarmStatusExplorer button or right-click an alarm and click
    Alarm Status
    to open the Alarm Status Explorer.
  2. From the
    Alarm Status Explorer
    window, select the alarm or alarms you want to unshelve and then click the
    Unshelve selected alarm
    toolbar_unshelve button.
  3. Complete the
    Shelve Alarm
    dialog box and then click
    Shelve.
