Reshelve alarms

Reshelving alarms is an operation performed when an alarm is not able to be resolved in the time specified by the shelve duration. How reshelving works varies depending on the type of alarms you are reshelving:
  • If you reshelve a
    digital
alarm, the alarm is shelved with the new specified duration. The alarm unshelve time is also updated accordingly. If the shelve duration is greater than the default maximum shelve time, the default max shelve timer is used.
  • If you reshelve an
    analog
alarm, the outcome is one of the following:
    • If one or more of the alarm conditions you reshelve were previously shelved, the alarm condition is shelved with the new specified duration and the alarm unshelve time is also updated accordingly. If the shelve duration is greater than the default maximum shelve time, the default max shelve timer is used.
    • If none of the alarm conditions you reshelve were previously shelved, the alarm unshelve time does not change.
