Find alarms and events

At runtime, operators can search for a text or numeric string in the event list portion of the Alarm and Event Summary. Only the columns that are displayed in the event list are searched.
To find a text or numeric string in the event list
  1. On the toolbar, click the
    Find
    Toolbar_Find button or right-click an alarm and click
    Find
    .
  2. In the
    Find what
     box, type the text or numeric string you want to find.
  3. To search the events above the currently-selected event in the event list, click
    Up
    . To search the events below the currently-selected event in the event list, click
    Down
    .
  4. To search for a string that matches the case of the text in the
    Find what
     box, select the
    Match case
     check box. To search for all matches, regardless of case, clear the
    Match case
     check box.
  5. Click
    Find Next
    .
    TIP:
    The Alarm and Event Summary can be configured to hide any toolbar button, which also hides the equivalent operation on the context (shortcut) menu.
