Enable single sign-on

Use
Single Sign-On Policy Settings
to configure security policy properties to enable single sign-on capability. When single sign-on is enabled, only one logon per directory, on a given computer is allowed. Once logged on, all participating
FactoryTalk
products that run in that directory on that computer automatically use those same security credentials.
To enable single sign-on
  1. In
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    Explorer
    , expand
System > Policies > System Policies
    .
  2. Right-click
    Security Policy
    and select
    Properties
    .
  3. In
    Security Policy Properties
    , select
    >
    to expand
    Single Sign-On Policy Settings
    .
  4. To the right of
    Use single sign-on,
    select the down arrow.
  5. Choose
    Enabled
    , then select
    OK
    .
If single sign-on still does not seem to be working properly, the
FactoryTalk
product in use may not support the single sign-on capability. Some
FactoryTalk
products always require users to log on, even if single sign-on is enabled.
