Authorize a third-party connection to the FactoryTalk-enabled product

Use
FactoryTalk Web Token Authorization
to create client ID and client secret pairs. A third-party product can use the client ID and client secret registered with the FactoryTalk system by
FactoryTalk Web Token Authorization
to acquire a security web token. After acquiring a security web token, the third-party product can use the token to access web APIs in FactoryTalk-enabled products.
FactoryTalk Web Token Authorization
can disable or delete the client ID and client secret to revoke the token issued to the third-party product. The previously issued token will be invalidated after 60 minutes. To ensure the functionality, FactoryTalk Directory Server Services need to be installed on the FactoryTalk Directory server computer.
To authorize the third-party connection to the FactoryTalk-enabled product
  1. In the FactoryTalk Administration Console
    Explorer
