Change logon

Use the
Log On to FactoryTalk
 tool to log on to a
FactoryTalk Directory
 with another user account. For example, log on to one
FactoryTalk Directory
 (network or local) with one user account, and to the other directory with a different user account.
To change logon
  1. Double-click the
    FactoryTalk Directory
    icon in the notification area of
    Windows
     taskbar or start the
    Log On to FactoryTalk
     utility.
  2. In
    Log On to FactoryTalk
    , in
    Directory
     select the directory to log on to (
    Local
     or
    Network
    ).
  3. If currently logged on to the directory, select
    Change Logon
    , if not logged on,
    select
    Logon.
    Log On to
    FactoryTalk
     - (Network or Local)
     appears.
    • If a username and password are required, enter the account
      User name
       and
      Password
       for a default FactoryTalk user, Windows user, or Microsoft Entra ID user, LDAP user group, or OpenID Connect.
    • If a badge is required, tap the badge on the card reader
    • If a badge and password are required, tap the badge on the card reader and then type the password.
      FactoryTalk
       immediately logs in to the selected network with the new user account credentials. The
      Log On to FactoryTalk
       tool displays the account logon details.
  4. Select
    Close
    .
