Delete a redundant server

Delete a redundant server when a secondary server is no longer needed to take over when the primary server becomes unavailable.
To delete a redundant server
  1. In
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    Explorer
    , expand the application tree until the server is visible.
  2. Right-click the server and select
    Properties
    .
  3. On the
    Redundancy
     tab clear
    Provide redundancy using a secondary server
    .
  4. Select
    Apply
     to save the secondary server information, and select
    OK.
  5. Restart the computers hosting the redundant server pair.
  6. Restart the computer hosting the
    FactoryTalk
     network directory server.
    The changes are now in effect.
