Rename a FactoryTalk Linx server's computer

After changing the name of a computer where the FactoryTalk Linx server is located and restarting the computer, you need to rename the FactoryTalk Linx server's computer in FactoryTalk Administration Console.
To rename a FactoryTalk Linx server's computer
  1. Open FactoryTalk Administration Console.
  2. In the
    Explorer
    pane, expand the tree, and then locate the FactoryTalk Linx server you want.
  3. Right-click the FactoryTalk Linx server, and then select
    Properties
    .
  4. In the
    Computer hosting the FactoryTalk Linx server:
     box of the
    General
    tab, enter the new name of the computer or browse the computer with the new name.
  5. Select
    Apply
    , and then select
    OK
    .
