Use
FactoryTalk® Live Data Test Client
 to test the communications network for your
FactoryTalk
 system.
FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
 reads and writes data items contained in:
  • FactoryTalk
     data servers, such as
    FactoryTalk Linx
     or
    FactoryTalk View SE
  • OPC
    -DA 2.0 compliant data servers, including
    RSLinx Classic
     and third-party
    OPC
     DA servers
FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
 can monitor each data item individually or as part of a custom group. Activate, deactivate, or change the read and write settings of data items and groups to verify their values are correctly transferred across the network.
Simulate the network traffic generated by an HMI system by setting a group to run in HMI Emulation mode.
FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
 automatically switches from one group of data items to the next, simulating how operators may frequently change graphic displays.
Save
FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
 configurations to reuse data item and group settings in future tests.
