Set up a connection for a local message display

Use the
Connections
 tab to set up a connection for a local message display object.
To set up a connection for a local message display:
  1. In a display, double-click the object to open the L
    ocal Message Display Properties
     dialog box.
  2. Click the
    Connections
     tab.
  3. Assign a tag or expression to the
    Value
     connection:
    • Value
    • Message File, if you want to use a variable message file
    • Echo Message, if you want to write the triggered message to a tag
