Daylight saving time and Time zone

When performing a
Device Wall-clock Update
 action, the settings of
Time zone
 and
Daylight saving time
 will impact the wall-clock set to different controllers and the time difference between the server computer and controllers. Refer to the following table for the impacts.

Use system setting
Set the server computer time zone and the corresponding Greenwich time to controllers.
  • Keep:
    Keep the current setting in controllers.
  • Enable:
    Enable this setting in controllers.
  • Disable:
    Disable this setting in controllers.
Customized
Set the customized time zone and the corresponding Greenwich time to controllers.
SLC
 and PLC
Use system setting
Set the server computer wall-clock to controllers.
Not supported
Customized
Adjust the Greenwich time using the customized time zone and set the adjusted wall-clock to controllers.
TIP:
Group similar controller types together (for example, Logix controllers) into a single action and use
Advanced Settings
 to determine how the wall-clock will be adjusted.
