Connection Devices

Connection Devices include Network Media for Ethernet, ControlNet™, DeviceNet™, Power Media, and Safety Connection Systems. We offer many products for DC Micro (M12), AC Micro (1/2), MiniPlus (1, 1-1/8), Mini (7/8), Pico (M8), and M23: cordsets, patchcords, V- and Y-cables, splitters, field attachable connectors, and receptacles. Our I/O Wiring Systems include interface modules and cables that connect through pre-wired cables to digital and analog I/O. We offer several IEC and NEMA terminal blocks to meet your needs.

Cordsets & Field Attachables

Cables and Cordsets provide secure connections for proximity sensors, limit switches, photoelectric sensors, and other field devices. We offer a broad line of cordsets (connectors at each end) and patchcords (connector at one end, leads on the other), splitters and tees, distribution boxes, V- and Y-cables, field-attachable connectors and panel-mount receptacles. These components are available in a variety of connector configurations and housing materials.

AC Micro Connection Systems

Our Bulletin 889R AC Micro Connection Systems feature industry standard 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, or 8-pin connectors for your DC-powered components. Cordsets and patchcords feature overmolded connectors and are available in a variety of configurations. A full complement of splitters and tees, distribution boxes, V- and Y-cables, field attachable connectors, and panel mount receptacles round out the line and add even more flexibility to your field wiring.

DIN Valve Connection Systems

Our Bulletin 889 DIN Valve Connection Systems includes field attachable connectors and cables that provide a secure connection in industrial hydraulic and pneumatic applications involving solenoid valves and pressure switches. Available in a variety of sizes and wiring configurations, these products provide standard connectivity and environmental protection. Some models incorporate surge protection circuitry that protects the solenoid coils within other devices from potentially harmful current spikes.

EAC Micro Connection Systems

Our IDC Distribution Boxes include ports with 3-wire termination and are available on an 8-port box. Our IDC Receptacles feature 4-wire zinc die cast connectors and are ideal for terminating wires to enclosures with the flexibility of field customization.

Our Bulletin 889M M23 Connection Systems feature industry standard 12- and 19-pin connectors for robust connections in high pin-density applications. Use our M23 connection devices with safety switches or for transferring a bundle of discrete signals from a distribution box or controller. We offer cordsets and patchcords, solder field-attachable connectors, and panel mount receptacles.

Mini Connection Systems

Our Bulletin 889N Mini Connection Systems include cordsets, patchcords, distribution boxes, splitters and tees, field-attachable connectors, and panel mount receptacles. Industry standard 2-, 3-, 4-, 5- or 6-pin connectors are ideal for higher power applications. Mini-style cordsets and patchcords are available in standard lengths with alternate wire color coding (US, US automotive and IEC) or in a heavy-duty STOOW-A cable jacket.

Pico (M8) Connection Systems

Our Bulletin 889P Pico (M8) Connection Systems include cordsets, patchcords, distribution boxes, splitters, V-cables, field-attachable connectors, and panel mount receptacles. Our devices feature industry standard 3- or 4-pin connectors in either thread-on or snap-on styles with straight or right-angle configurations. Cordsets and patchcords feature overmolded connectors and are available in a variety of lengths and cable jacket materials.

Network Media

Network Media includes connectivity devices for industrial networks including Ethernet, ControlNet™ and DeviceNet™. Devices include spools of raw cable, patchcords, cordsets, and a full line of accessories. Our network media components help ensure network performance while simplifying construction of your architecture.

ControlNet Network Media

ControlNet™ Network Media and connection devices provide flexibility when designing your network. ControlNet coax cable is a low-loss, RG-6 quad-shield coaxial cable for typical installations. ControlNet fiber media lets you extend a segment of your network, provides immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI), and allows installation in a hazardous location. We offer a variety of connectors, taps, terminators, repeaters, and tools for coax and fiber systems. Choose the cable type based on the application and or environment where your system is being installed.

DeviceNet Network Media

DeviceNet™ Network Media includes thick and thin round or flat cable. Round cable, generally used for trunk cable, is available in bulk spools or pre-molded cordsets or patchcords. KwikLink™ flat media systems provide a simple modular cabling method using a flat four-wire trunk cable with Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDCs) that lessen your installation time and materials cost.

Power Media Connection Devices

Power Media Connection Devices are plug-and-play style connectors that provide power for three-phase motor branch circuits, ArmorStart® distributed motor controllers, and 24V DC power to auxiliary devices separate from network power. Our connection devices include cordsets, patchcords, trunk cables, drop cables, tees and reducers, receptacles, and shorting plugs.

Auxiliary Power Media

Our Bulletin 1485 Auxiliary Power Media connection devices are based on a 4–pin connector system and is used to provide 24V DC power to I/O modules and other devices separately from network power. Running separate power to these devices is typically used for I/O devices with output connections to prevent power supply interruption due to switching of outputs. However, some devices require separate auxiliary power to power them regardless of the presence of outputs.

Control Power Media

Our Bulletin 888/889 Control Power Media connection devices offer mini disconnect cables that provide a secure connection to the ArmorStart® Distributed Motor Controller. The control power media components are a 6-pin/5-used configuration to prevent mis-wiring with network connectors.

Three-phase Power Media

Bulletin 280 ArmorConnect® Three-phase Power Media offers both mini and quick-change disconnect cables that provide a secure connection to the ArmorStart® Distributed Motor Controller. Connectors can be straight or right-angled and are physically keyed to prevent wiring mishaps. The three-phase power media components are rated for motor branch circuits per UL 2237.

Our Guardmaster® Safety t-ports/splitters, distribution boxes, shorting plugs, and taps are parts of a quick-disconnect system dedicated to machine safety. GuardLink™ taps connect safety input devices to a GuardLink system, a safety-based communications protocol that links safety to The Connected Enterprise. GuardLink enabled devices offer advanced features and diagnostics that can only be accessed through a GuardLink enabled connection tap.

Terminal Blocks

Terminal Blocks Connection Systems include screw-type IEC, spring-type IEC, IEC terminal block accessories, NEMA terminal blocks, NEMA terminal block accessories, finger-safe terminal blocks, and panel mount terminal blocks. We offer many terminal block products including double level plug-in, thermocouple, tab-connect feed through, grounding, space-saver feed through, fuse, sensor, plug-in connection, multi-circuit, mini, single circuit, neutral disconnect, isolation and more.

Our Push-in Terminal Blocks improve wiring efficiency and connection reliability. They are available in a wide range of IEC block types that include innovative control power distribution blocks, as well as two-, three- and four-circuit sensor blocks.

NEMA Terminal Blocks

NEMA Terminal Blocks offer easy wiring with standard size screwdrivers, easy visual verification of proper wire position and easy marking. Most of our NEMA blocks are available pre-assembled on a breakaway-mounting channel, complete with one end anchor, retaining clip and one end barrier. We offer four types of NEMA Terminal Blocks: open construction, voltage-indicating, fuse, and isolation switch.

NEMA & IEC Finger-safe Terminal Blocks

Our family of Finger-safe Terminal Blocks falls between open-style NEMA/EEMAC terminal blocks and full-function IEC style terminal blocks. Our finger-safe terminal blocks are compact and have recessed terminals. They are UL component recognized and CSA certified plus CE marked for use in the European Union. You can select from 11 colors for easy circuit identification. In addition to our standard multi-rail terminal blocks, we offer a wide range of fusible terminal blocks and isolation switches.

Our Power Terminal Blocks feature terminal identification options. We provide mounting dimensions with each unit and label wire ranges and tightening torques on the product to simplify installation. You can select from five styles of power terminal blocks including mini, open-style power distribution, open-style feed-through/splicer, enclosed power distribution, and UL 1953 Listed power distribution.

We offer three marking solutions for your industrial equipment, wires, and terminal blocks. ClearMark™ advanced marking system is ideal for printing high volumes in continuous operation. The ClearMultiprint™ marking system is designed for many types of users that require high speed printing, no drying time, and a compact footprint. The ClearPlot™ marking system is robust and flexible enough to allow partial marking on cards or up to three cards at a time for low to medium volume users.
