Translations

Translation allows users in different locales to use
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
applications because the application displays in the language of the user at runtime. Use a localization dictionary to translate text strings shown in messages and on labels and switches in your project at runtime.
Projects that use a standard template have a localization dictionary in the
Translations
folder. You can use the default localization dictionary in a project or create additional localization dictionaries to manage text string translations. Additional localization dictionaries may be useful in large projects for dividing translations into categories such as alarm translations and graphic object translations.
Double-click a localization dictionary to open the Localization editor. Use the Localization editor to translate strings for multilingual projects and applications. These strings generally appear on alarm messages or localized text variables.
