ControlNet Network

The ControlNet™ network is an open control network that meets the demands of real-time, high-throughput applications. ControlNet supports controller to controller interlocking and real-time control of I/O, drives and valves. It also provides control networking in discrete and process applications including high-availability applications.

DeviceNet Network

The DeviceNet™ network provides open, device-level control and information networking for simple industrial devices. It supports communication between sensors and actuators and higher-level devices such as programmable controllers and computers. With power and signal in a single cable, it offers simple and cost-effective wiring options.

DeviceNet Connected Products

We offer a wide variety of DeviceNet™ Connected Products for your applications. Products have either a built-in DeviceNet interface or connect to the DeviceNet network via an optional communication interface module. We continue our investment in DeviceNet through solutions that help make DeviceNet easier to wire, commission, and troubleshoot.

EtherNet/IP Network

The EtherNet/IP™ network provides plant-wide network systems using open, industry-standard networking technologies. It enables real-time control and information in discrete, continuous process, batch, safety, drive, motion, and high availability applications. The EtherNet/IP network connects devices such as motor starters and sensors to controllers and HMI devices and on into the enterprise. It supports non-industrial and industrial communications on a common network infrastructure.

Gateway & Linking Devices

We offer a range of Gateway and Linking Devices to seamlessly connect your information- or control-level networks with your device-level network to help reduce control device costs by leveraging existing network structures to access data on other networks. Additional linking devices are available through our Encompass™ Partners, our third-party product-referencing program, to quickly locate the products that best solve your application challenges.

4-Way Redundant Intelligent Fieldbus Junction Box

Our Bulletin 1788 4-way Redundant Intelligent Fieldbus Junction Box provides a simple, redundant, and fault-tolerant method for connecting field devices to a Profibus-PA or FOUNDATION Fieldbus (H1) network. The unit provides segment protection to four field device drop-line ports by continuously monitoring drop currents and disconnecting a faulty drop to protect the rest of the segment when a fault is detected. Trunk monitoring in redundant configurations enables the rerouting of trunk messages around cable faults.

6-Way Intelligent Fieldbus Junction Box

Our Bulletin 1788 6-way Intelligent Fieldbus Junction Box provides a fault-tolerant method for connecting field devices to a Profibus-PA or FOUNDATION Fieldbus (H1) network. The unit comprises a bus-input port, bus-output port, and six field device drop-line ports. Each drop-line port’s bus current is continuously monitored. If a fault is detected, the drop is isolated until the fault is corrected. Even with one of the segments shorted, all remaining field devices on the bus are able to communicate.

SERCOS Interface

SERCOS (Serial Real-time Communications System) is an internationally-approved communication standard for motion control (IEC 61491). This communication network is designed for high-speed serial communication of standardized closed-loop data, in real-time, over a noise-immune fiber-optic cable. We support SERCOS with interface motion modules which provide SERCOS drive connectivity and control for the ControlLogix® controller.

Universal Remote I/O (RIO) Network

Universal Remote I/O Link is a local area network designed to connect controllers to remote I/O chassis and a variety of intelligent devices such as operator interfaces and AC or DC drives.

Process Instrumentation Networks

Our Process Instrumentation Networks provide communication between process instruments and the process control system. We offer integrated PlantPAx™ Distributed Control System support for instruments on HART and the FOUNDATION™ fieldbus. Our Encompass™ Partners provide expanded support for Profibus PA, as well as Modbus and other networks. Endress+Hauser and other partners now offer process instruments that connect to EtherNet/IP™ networks to support this growing trend.
