 project runs automatically on the
View 5000 Server
 whether or not you are running the
View 5000 Client
. To run the project, the Rockwell View 5000 Server service must be started on the
View 5000 Server
. The Rockwell
View 5000 Server
 service starts automatically after installing
View 5000 Server
, starting the the computer where
View 5000 Server
 is installed, or starting
View 5000 Client
.
Prerequisites
  • Download the project to the
    View 5000 Server
    . The
    View 5000 Server
     is a valid HMI device.
View and interact with a project on a
View 5000 Server
  • From the
    Windows
    menu, select
    Rockwell Software >
    View 5000 Client
    . The project running on the
    View 5000 Server
     appears on the
    View 5000 Client
     for you to view and interact with the content.
    TIP:
    Tips:
    • If you start
      View 5000 Client
       on the
      View 5000 Server
       and the project does not run automatically, verify that the Rockwell
      View 5000 Server
       service is started on the server computer.
    • The
      Studio 5000
      View Designer
       project downloaded to the
      View 5000 Server
       remains on the
      View 5000 Server
      . You do not have to download the project to the
      View 5000 Server
       again. Run the
      View 5000 Client
       again to reconnect to the
      Studio 5000
      View Designer
       project on the
      View 5000 Server
      .
    • Cycling power to the HMI device where the project is downloaded starts the project on the HMI device automatically.
