Open a screen

Open any screen that is accessible with the assigned security rights. When opening a screen, an overlay dims the current screen to show interaction with the screen is not available. When the new screen opens, interaction with the screen is available immediately. Interact with the new screen when the overlay from the previous screen still appears or when the new screen is loading content. By default, the
Home
screen of the project opens on the HMI device.
To open a screen
  1. On the HMI device or in the
    System Banner
    at the top of the screen, select
    Navigation
    Icon: NavigationMenuButton. The
    Navigation menu
    opens.
  2. Select to open a:
    • Screen.
      Select the item in the
      Navigation menu
      .
    • Home screen.
      Select
      Home
      Icon: ViewRTSysBannerHomeIcon in the
      Navigation menu
      .
    • Next screen.
      Select
      Next
      Icon: ViewRTSysBannerNextIcon in the
      System Banner
      to open the next screen in navigation history.
    • Previous screen.
      Select
      Previous

    • Folder.
      Select a folder in the
      Navigation menu
      to display screens within the folder. The contents of the folder appears in an upper row. Folders may contain subfolders. Breadcrumbs shows the current folder path in the upper row.
    • Previous folder.
      Select
      Back
