Navigate and zoom a PDF document

Navigate a PDF document on the HMI device. The buttons and functionality available on the HMI device depend on the configuration of the PDF graphic element or the PDF Viewer Add-On Graphic.
TIP:
The
PanelView
5310 HMI device does not support the PDF Viewer graphic element or the PDF Viewer Add-On Graphic.
To navigate or zoom a PDF document
  • Select a button to navigate the PDF document:
    • Bookmarks
      PDF Reader Bookmark Icon displays the bookmarks.
    • Previous
      PDF Reader Previous icon opens the previous page.
    • Next
      PDF Reader Next icon opens the next page.
    • Page Number
      opens the page of the PDF document entered in the
      Page Number
      box.
    • Fit Width
      PDFFitToWidthIcon expands the width of the PDF document.
    • Fit Window
      PDFFitToPageicon expands the entire page of the PDF document to fit the PDF graphic element.
    • Zoom In
      PDFZoomInIcon increases the PDF document magnification by the percentage specified in the ByPercent property of the Zoom In event command.
    • Zoom Out
      PDFZoomOutIcon decreases the PDF document magnification by the percentage specified in the ByPercent property of the Zoom In event command.
      TIP:
      Tips:
      • PDF files that contain complex drawings take longer to render. For example, if a PDF contains an image that is actually a drawing of individual shapes such as lines, circles, and rectangles, that image takes longer to render than a drawing that is a single image.
      • On a keypad terminal, press a key to navigate the pages of a PDF document:
        • Home
          : Navigate to the first page.
        • End
          : Navigate to the last page
        • Page Up
          : Navigate to the previous page.
        • Page Down
          : Navigate to the previous page.
        • Up, Down, Right, and Left arrows
          : Navigate the content of the displayed page.
