Interact with a popup

Interact with a popup by opening, moving, or closing the popup. To identify the event that opens a popup, contact the HMI Designer.
To interact with a popup
  1. Perform the event to open the popup. For example, select a button configured with a press event configured in
    Studio 5000
    View Designer
    .
  2. Perform any action required by the popup. If the
    Virtual Standard Keyboard
     or
    Virtual Numeric Keypad
     opens, enter the required data. Popup contents may include events and animations. Interacting with a popup may perform an event or animation depending on the configuration of the popup. Selecting a button on the popup may change the appearance of the button.
  3. To close a popup, select
    Close
    Close button in Designer on the popup or select elsewhere on the screen.
    TIP:
    Tips:
    • To move a popup, select and drag the caption at the top of the popup.
    • Move a portion of a popup off the edge of the HMI device screen to provide more room on the screen.
    • Only popups with captions can move.
    • Opening another popup or the
      Navigation menu
       closes the open popup.
    • Performing an event may close a popup. To identify events configured for the application, contact the HMI Designer.
