Import a digital certificate from removable media

Load a digital certificate from removable media to the HMI device. A digital certificate allows you to access locations on the Internet that use HTTPS or WSS secured protocols.
TIP:
Tips:
  • When creating a self-signed certificate, make sure the
    Subject Alternative Name
property of the certificate contains the IP address of the device or server you are connecting to.
  • To import a certificate with .der extension, change the extension to .cer manually, or use a custom command that is setup with the certificate's exact filename.
Prerequisites
  • Verify that the certificate files are in the root directory of the SD card or the USB drive.
  • The certificates must have .cer, .crt, or .pem extension.
