Disable a button on an Alarm Summary table

Prevent users from performing certain operations on an Alarm Summary table on the HMI device. To do this, disable the appropriate button on the alarm table. For example, to prevent disabling alarms, disable
Disable
viewrtalarmsumdisablebutton for the Alarm Summary table.
On the HMI device, a disabled button has diagonal hash marks across it. Tapping the button displays an
Error
icon Icon: Runtime Error button. Tap the
Error
icon to open an Error list that describes the button as disabled.
To disable a button on an Alarm Summary table
  1. On the screen, select the Alarm Summary table.
  2. In the
    Properties
    window, select the
    Properties
    tab.
  3. Expand the
    General
    node.
  4. Clear the check box to disable the button and the associated operation on the HMI device:
    • AcknowledgeEnabled
      . Clear this check box to disable
      Acknowledge
      ViewRTAlarmSumAckButton.png on the selected alarm table. This prevents indicating awareness of the alarm and changing the alarm state from unacknowledged to acknowledged.
    • DisableEnabled
      . Clear this check box to disable
      Disable
      viewrtalarmsumdisablebutton on the selected alarm table. This prevents stopping an alarm condition from being evaluated, effectively turning off the alarm.
    • ResetLatchedEnabled
      . Clear this check box to disable
      Reset Latched Selected
      ViewRTAlarmOptsRstLatch on the selected alarm table. This prevents resetting a latched alarm that is latched in the In Alarm state.
    • ShelveEnabled
      . Clear this check box to disable
      Shelve
      ViewRTAlarmSumShelveButtonV5 on the selected alarm table. This prevents stopping the notification of new state changes for an alarm or alarm condition.
