Resize a graphic element
Resize any graphic element or instance of an Add-On Graphic. The Height and Width values of a resized graphic element appear in the
Properties
tab.To resize a graphic element
- Select the graphic element to resize.
- Position the cursor on a sizing handle
until it turns into a double-arrow.
- To change the width or height of a graphic element, drag a side sizing handle.
- To change both the width and height of a graphic element, drag a corner sizing handle.
- To maintain the aspect ratio between width and height, holdShiftas you drag a sizing handle.
- To maintain the center point of a graphic element, holdAltas you drag a sizing handle.
- To maintain the aspect ratio and center point of a graphic element, holdShift+Altas you drag a corner sizing handle.
- To resize the text within a graphic element while you resize the graphic element, holdCtrlas you drag a sizing handle.TIP:Tips:
- A tooltip shows the height and width of the graphic element as you resize it.
- The font size configured for a graphic element with a text value determines the height of the graphic element. If you resize or rotate a Text Input graphic element, the font size does not change.
- If you resize an element while multiple graphic elements are selected, each element is resized and the proportion is maintained. The height and width shown in pixels are for the selection you are resizing.
- Resizing an instance of an Add-On Graphic scales the text of any graphic element contained in the definition of the Add-On Graphic.
- Changing the size of an instance of an Add-On Graphic does not change any other instance of the Add-On Graphic in the project. The proportion of each graphic element within the Add-On Graphic is maintained as the instance of the Add-On Graphic is resized. Resizing an instance of an Add-On Graphic does not affect the definition of the Add-On Graphic.
