Network Status Indicator

The Network Status Indicator is predefined to show network communication issues and open the screen for configuring the network. This graphic element appears in the
System
category of the
Toolbox
.
Use the Network Status Indicator to:
  • See a visual indicator when there is an issue with the communication of the network.
  • Open the
    Network
    popup from the
    Settings
    screen.
  • Change the screen the
    Network Status Indicator
    opens. To do this, change the screen name in the
    NavigationTo
    box of the
    Properties
    window for the graphic element.
    TIP:
    Tips:
    • By default, the Network Status Indicator appears in the System Banner at the top of the screen.
    • The Network Status Indicator changes appearance based on the issue:
      • ViewRTSysBannerNetCaution
        Network caution.
        The network is functioning. However, one or more, but not all, of the controllers associated with the project are not communicating properly. For example, a device may be powered-down. In a 2-port unit, one Ethernet port may be disconnected.
      • ViewRTSysBannerNetError
        Network error.
        The network is not functioning. No Ethernet port is connected, none of the controllers associated with the project are communicating properly, or there is a duplicate IP address.
Built-in Animation Properties
Built-in animation properties appear under the

category of the

window. Specify values for these properties in order to animate the graphic element or change the information the graphic element shows on the HMI device.

Security
Specifies if all users have access to the control element, or if access is inherited from the screen.
  • Inherit - Access inherited from screen.
  • Full Access - Access granted to all users.
Angle
Position and Size
Specifies the rotation angle.
Enter 180 to display the graphic element upside down. If you enter a value larger than 360, the portion of numeric value that is over 360 becomes the value. For example, enter 380 to see a value of 20. If you enter a value less than 0, the negative value is subtracted from 360. For example, enter -30 to see a value of 330.

Appearance
Specifies if the graphic element is available on the HMI device and if the graphic element accepts touch and key input.

Position and Size
Specifies the height in pixels.

Specifies the transparency of the graphic element.
0 (fully transparent) - 100 (fully opaque)

Specifies if the graphic element is visible on the HMI device.

Specifies the width in pixels.

Specifies the horizontal coordinate, in pixels, from the upper left corner of screen to the upper left corner of a graphic element or group with no rotation. If the graphic element or group is rotated, the X property value does not change.

Specifies the vertical coordinate, in pixels, from the upper left corner of screen to the upper left corner of a graphic element or group with no rotation. If the graphic element or group is rotated, the Y property value does not change.
