Configure the local cache timeout

Configure the local cache timeout to change how much data the trend should load from the server when the display is opened. Increasing the timeout value can improve trend load time by storing more data on your local computer.
If the local cache has not reached its timeout value, the trend only updates the data within the time span shown on the X axis. If the local cache has reached its timeout value, the trend updates the data within the time span set by the
FactoryTalk View Studio
trend or trend pro object.
To configure the local cache timeout
  1. In the
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint
    trend page, select
    Menu
    and then select
    Local Cache TimeOut Setting
    .
  2. In the Local Cache TimeOut window, enter an amount of seconds, minutes, hours, or days after which the cache should time out.
  3. Click
    Apply
    or
    OK
    to save the changes.
