Open an existing FactoryTalk View application

When you first start Application Documenter, no application is selected. The title and menu bars appear at the top of the screen and the status bar at the bottom, and the
Application Selection
 dialog box appears in the middle.
To open an existing
FactoryTalk View
 application
  1. If the
    Application Selection
     dialog box is not open, from the
    File
     menu, select
    Open Application
    , or click the
    Open
     toolbar button.
  2. From the list of available applications, select the application you want to open.
  3. From the list of languages for the selected application, select the language you want the application to open in.
  4. Click
    OK
    .
    TIP:
    You can also open an existing
    FactoryTalk View
     application from the
    File
    menu by selecting the application file name in the list of
    Recent Applications
    .
    If you restored an application using the Application Manager, the Application Documenter may not be able to detect the restored application or select it for documentation. To avoid the problem, open the restored application in FactoryTalk View Studio before opening it in the Application Documenter.
After you open the application, you can browse, export, or print its contents.
