Tag objects
Tag objects that are part of the FactoryTalk View SE Client object model provide programmatic access to HMI tag values and properties at runtime through the use of Display Code.
Using these objects, you can:
- Create groups to interact with related tags
- Read and write tag values
- Receive change notification when a tag value or the quality of a tag value changes
- Read tag properties
Remarks
- The Tag objects provide a programmable interface into the FactoryTalk Tag system from Visual Basic code embedded in a Graphics display (that is, display code).
- With Tag objects, you cannot create tags or modify tag information in design or run mode.
