Add traces at runtime (XY Plot)

At runtime, you can add a trace with a pair of tags to the XY Plot. Traces added at runtime are not saved.
For each trace on an XY Plot object, samples are plotted using horizontal x-axis representing one tag value and a vertical y-axis representing another tag value.
TIP:
To show data from FactoryTalk View SE data logs, make sure the data log models are started. Otherwise, the trend will not show any value of your selected tags.
To trend historical data in
a FactoryTalk Historian SE server, Asset Framework server, FactoryTalk Historian ME module, or PI Server
, you need to install
FactoryTalk Historian Connectivity
from the FactoryTalk View installation package on the FactoryTalk View Studio or SE Client computer.
All clients must use either the same computer name or the same IP address. If you add or delete a PI server, restart your FactoryTalk View Studio or FactoryTalk View SE Client to take effect.
